Plans for a Vantage Data Centre at Bro Tathan have been approved, allowing up to 120MW of data storage. The published project information says planning issues including PFAS, ecology and historic structures were addressed during the application process.
A pre-application consultation is open on plans by Welsh Ministers for demolition works and a new 132kV electricity substation at Bro Tathan, St Athan. Documents are online and comments can be submitted to CarneySweeney by 15 April 2026.
